Let’s Copy What Others Are Doing! This Week — Philip Ogley

Apparently, rip-off is now legal.

(Image/PjOgley — he’s a book “author”)

I read Philip Ogley a few days ago, who explained, in one of the seventeen articles he published that day,

“how to write a post ripping off someone else’s work — legally!”

Philip made a mistake. He didn’t think I would use his technique against his OWN article. MWAHAHA.

To “write” his article about ripping off other people’s work, Philip ripped off one of the burnout IT guys writing on the platform. This is what Philip did:

“You can read his post at the end of this piece, but I thought I’d paraphrase it to save you time.”

As shocking as it appears, Philip wasn’t ashamed to tell us he wouldn’t bring anything new to the Medium table and would (instead) repeat what the burnout IT guy turned performance artist had already said in his article.

Philip goes on to justify his sinful act with jealousy.

“Why not? After all, two months ago, [burnout IT guy] made three grand on a story.”

Instead of being happy for another doomed writer, Philip took the low road. That’s a bit steep coming from someone who got boosted a few weeks back.

Philip doesn’t say anything new in his article but still finds time to criticize and disparage his colleague.

He goes as far as saying the other writer’s bio “sucks,” which is quite the joke when you consider the inanity of Philip’s bio. Not to mention the other writer’s name autofill on Google, which is (very much so) not the case for Pihlip Olgey.

As an impartial and professional blogger, I will say that, to his credit, Philip left a thoughtful comment on the original article.

I paraphrase a bit, but it’s something like, “Yes, you’re right, Burnout IT Writer. Smillew is the best writer on this platform. He’s the closest thing we have to a true social media personality, and I would happily vote for him in the next Presidential elections.
