Let Me Be
Free form poetry from my heart

Sometimes, I recoil from putting my thoughts on paper for fear that most people will judge me.
Will judge my depiction of my raw humanity and on one instant, define me.
So I try to modify my reality to create a version that is acceptable to many.
But all illusions have their cracks because reality can not be held back and I am nothing if not real.
So, even if I am damaged and broken goods and I cry more than I laugh at least I am being true to me.
Please, let me be me.
