Lessons I Learned as a Freelancer on Fiverr

Greetings, everyone!

Another day, another article on freelancing. Last time, I talked about Upwork, and this time, it’s Fiverr, another freelancing platform. If you missed the last article, take a look:

Fiverr is a great platform for those starting out in freelancing. When I entered this world, it wasn’t even to monetize with jobs but to improve my language skills. I’m a polyglot, and the only way to maintain proficiency in the languages I speak is to have them involved in my daily life, and Fiverr is a good platform for that.

In my opinion, the negatives of Fiverr are the lack of a marketplace where clients offer projects and freelancers apply. If you’ve never used Fiverr, here’s how it works: you create a Gig offering a service, and interested clients send you projects.

Lessons Learned on Fiverr

Consistency

After completing over 100 projects, there’s no doubt that consistency is the key to everything. If you’ve started a process and feel like you’re on the right path and want to continue, keep doing it!

If you’re choosing a new path for your life, choose something you truly enjoy and want because that’s the only way success is guaranteed — not success for others, but your own success.

Learn by Doing

This is key for a successful freelancer. Often, you won’t have the full vision of projects; you’ll have to learn along the way. Strive to be someone who is constantly learning new things. By doing the work I did on Fiverr, I gained insight to start my own.

Before accepting a proposal, be clear about what needs to be done

This is important because you need clarity to avoid accepting a proposal you won’t be able to deliver on time or complete. Have that eagle-eyed vision that sees everything.

Have principles

Not everything that shines is gold. Have values, work with genuinely positive things, and create positive karma for your life. Don’t accept just any proposal.

If you feel that freelancing is the path you want to pursue, just do it.
