Law of Attraction Improves Your Life When You Allow It
Say Yes to the good life that you desire

For as far back as I can remember, I was told that, if I ever wanted to “talk with God,” I must go through a third party. The 3rd being a minister or priest. I heard it from my parents and also, of course, from ministers and priests.
I never knew why, if God was so great, I couldn’t talk directly with Him. By delegating communication with God to another person, it seemed like He must be so busy that I wondered if He even had time for me at all. If so, how would I know because He wasn’t talking with me?
This went on, for me, for over 35 years. Because of this, I had a real aversion to organized religion. When I was 36, I began attending AA meetings because of my problems with drinking.
We have talked before about AA being a spiritual not a religious program. We accept the Physical laws, such as Gravity, as real and factual. Spiritual laws are every bit as factual but probably new concepts to us.
Verywellmind.com states “The law of attraction is a philosophy suggesting that positive thoughts bring positive results into a person’s life, while negative thoughts bring negative outcomes.”
Today we are going to talk about the Spiritual Law of Attraction, which is, that what one puts into life one gets back exactly what was entered in the first place. Think of it as a mirror of your life.
What you see when you look into a bathroom mirror is exactly what is placed into it. If you have a flaw on your face or a tear in your shirt, you will see the flaw or tear. In other words, the mirror is neutral. If you have nothing amiss, you will see no flaws.
Life also has a mirror and what you put into it you get back all that you put into it. If you put resentment, fear, anger, or disappointment, into the mirror of your life, you get back resentment, fear, anger, or disappointment, exactly what you put into your life mirror.
If, when you wake up, you stub your toe and say “Crap, this is going to be a lousy day,” it probably will be a lousy day. If, after stubbing your toe, you say something like “Wish I hadn’t done that,” and put your mind onto something else, your chances for a better day just improved greatly.
This shows the simple program of spiritual law working for complicated folks who are trying to fight fear and anger with fear and anger. The mirror of life is just as completely neutral as the mirror in the bathroom. It does not embellish its input, only reflects it.

If you want to be happy, joyful, and free, instead of being filled with resentments and rage, start your day off thanking your Higher Power for the new day and asking for, as the 11th Step suggests, the knowledge of His will for you and the power to carry it out.
Then, throw in a shortened version of the 3rd Step, “God, Help Me,” and then guess what — your days are no longer filled with resentments and rage, or at least much less.
This does not mean that all days are full of laughter, but it does mean that, if there are problems arising, they will be handled properly. What a concept, huh?
I have used this successfully in all sorts of stressful situations — illnesses and deaths of people close to me, cancer in me and also in my wife, daughter, and sister, divorce, remarriage, and raising 4 teenage girls. You get the picture, I am sure.
I am happy, joyful, and free and have been since the program introduced me to Spirituality. I am truly “too blessed to be stressed.” Remember happy, joyful, and free does not mean that we laugh all day long.
What it does mean is that we go to bed, fall asleep, and then wake up refreshed with the knowledge that we have done all that we can do for any situation that arises.
This can be your life, too, if you choose it. Remember, if you do not drink or do drugs, you have choices. Don’t be afraid of living. Be happy with the fact that you can now truly live and enjoy life.
If you didn’t drink or do drugs today, you now have choices, maybe for the first time. Do you choose to be miserable or do you choose to be happy, joyous, and free? The choice is yours and nobody else’s. Choose wisely!
Thank you, God!
