Last Night
A poem about appreciation for the night and day.
Last night was heavenly last night I heard the stillness of the night last night was peaceful last night was delightful last night was quiet last night no ugliness last night was memorable last night was monumental last night I focused on self last night a night prayed for last night was a grateful night last night I could hear my breath last night was a dream come true last night there was not a peep last night was sweet and mellow last night, all was enchanting last night no yells or screams last night no name-calling last night no confusion last night no acts of fear and dread last night not one loud outburst last night no staring at baby/adult monitor last night ended with I love you last night was restful for all last night we slept like newborn babies dementia stayed asleep, not a peep all night long, not one outburst last night I could hear my mother’s breath and mine last night we laid in silence, with great appreciation last night led to hoping for a better day last night made me refreshed for today last night gave me tranquility last night made me grateful awoke to nature calling in the air Awoke to a refreshing morning hearing nature awakening last night made me appreciate the bad otherwise, I could not appreciate the good!
