LA PD Officer Shared George Floyd’s Mockery Valentine Photo
How one LAPD officer does wrong and gets to decide who should hear his case outside of the top brass of the LA police department

Again Qualified Immunity protects one of their own in the face of making a mockery of George Floyd’s death by uncaringly and his senseless sharing of a George Floyd Valentine’s Day meme called “You Take My Breath Away”. How cruel and by a police officer, you can easily deduct where his heart, mind and soul was or is and for sure he has not lost any sleep over George Floyd's death by a Minneapolis police officer, Derek Chauvin, who placed his knee and kept it on George Floyd’s neck as he breathless uttered, “I can breathe”, until he died. It is okay not too loose any sleep over such a horrific death but where is common decency or respect for the badge or humanity to share such a photo?
The Los Angeles police officer whose name remains unknown willingly shared shared a valentine like photo of George Floyd with the words “you take my breath away” has been cleared of any wrong doing and faces no punishment. Not even a reprimand, not to practice such again or not even an iota of responsibility or not to do it again warning. What kind of message does this send to this officer and others who have a mindset like him to make a mockery of a man’s death or murder at the hands of another police officer? Also, the officers who took photos and circulated them on social media of Kobe Bryant’s death who were or are being sued by his widow, Vanessa Bryant, cared nothing about another’s pain and grief just selfish pleasure or some gain of sort.
Where is the humanity in these cruel acts? All due to the color of one’s skin? Sadly, to say, the problem is not the victim or decease but the perpetrators who possesses some inferiority complex about themselves and feel gratified momentarily in doing such horrific acts against another due to the color of skin. These uninhibited souls like these police officers are weary and should not be wearing a badge to protect and serve until they learn how to reckoned their inner demons.
An internal disciplinary panel of community members aka Board of Rights, rendered the not guilty verdict of administrative charges. This unnamed officer was directed to the panel by the police chief, Michel Moore with the recommendation that the officer be fired, which is outside of his authority to do. According to what was shared is that this unnamed officer chose to have his case heard by a board of three civilians, instead of LAPD officers with the rank of captain or higher and one civilian panelist. The unnamed officer chose! Really? This appears to be a travesty in the worst way. If the public wonders why the police department needs to be reformed, here is a perfect example along with countless senseless crimes and murders at the hand of law enforcement. Since when does the wrong doer gets to choose who decides his fate? Police Chief Moore himself labeled the act a racist valentine, shared his disdain for such an act within the LA Police Department and declared zero tolerance for anything with racist views. Sadly, this unnamed police officer yet gets to walk free, but I hope he learned his lesson. We don’t know all the details surrounding the act and the case therefore, hopefully this act stops in its track as a result. Then all was worth it.
In conclusion, to clear this unnamed LAPD officer of wrongdoing is another travesty to justice. Where is accountability, transparency and respect for humanity? When these acts goes unpunished, why would they stop at another appointed time? This mentality is definitely part of the racist problem in the American society. The chosen civilian panelists are unnamed just like the police officer, for all we know it could have been his friends, associates or family with all this secrecy. Moving forward, let us all respect humanity as we all share God’s planet to humanity and has no respect of persons.
