Korea now has an official “Global Kimchi Day”

Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corp. also known as aT, declared 22 November 2023 as the first ever “Global Kimchi Day”.

They made this announcement during the Buy Korean Food trade fair that was held in Seoul on Thursday, 16 November 2023.

aT has already been celebrating Kimchi Day in Korea on 22 November each year since revisions were made to the Kimchi Industry Promotion Act back in February 2020.

Now, they are hoping to get global recognition for this day celebrating Korea’s beloved national dish, kimchi.
