Know Thyself, Heal Thyself Shut Down — There’s A New Home For Your Vulnerable Posts
The next big pub shut down. At first, I was shocked. Then, I felt relieved.

As with all things in life, things change and we ride the waves.
A few days ago, I read a disturbing post by Yana Bostongirl.
In her article, Yana revealed that Diana C., owner and chief-editor of the famous publication Know Thyself Heal Thyself (KTHT), surprisingly closed the doors of her publication until further notice.
Within the last past few months, several big and popular publications have closed their doors — such as The Ascent, P.S. I Love You, The Post Grad Survivals Guide, and World Traveler’s Blog.
Medium loves when we get deep and personal.
Know Thyself Heal Thyself was the perfect home.
- The popular publication KTHT was known for its articles covering authentic stories about relationships, healing, and spirituality.
- It was known for its safe, supportive, and welcoming community.
One of my Medium Writers Challenge articles about the big apartment that almost destroyed my marriage was published in this beloved publication.
So, first, It really was a shock.
As Yana says in her article:
Like many of you, the question on my mind was where do I find a home for my vulnerable posts that always found a safe haven with KTHT?
A new home for your vulnerable posts
That’s the page of publication Know Thyself, Heal Thyself:

In her farewell letter, Diana shared a list of pubs that could be a good fit for vulnerable and spiritual posts.
The first on her list was Coffee Times by chief-editor Winston with co-editors Vidya Sury, Collecting Smiles, and Drashti Shroff.
A few weeks ago, Winston announced that Yana will become a brand ambassador or editor-at-large for the aspiring publication Coffee Times.
Additionally, he had a wonderful idea and started a new column called “Know Thyself” as a new haven to give space to this type of content and as a tribute to KTHT.
New column “Know Thyself”

This column is for writers who want to write about…
- Spirituality
- Relationships
- Self-awareness
- Self-discovery
- Healing
- HSP’s
- Empath experiences
- Mindfulness & Meditation
In her latest article, Yana revealed she’ll host this new column.
Immediately, I felt relieved.
Yana is the perfect brand ambassador and testimonial for the new column she’ll be hosting.
I hope to raise awareness about some difficult topics and spread the message that healing is possible.
I am also an empath who wouldn’t have shared my experiences if not for the warm, supportive KTHT community.
First statements on Yana’s new role
YES! As a fellow empath and hyper sensitive person, I am so grateful for you and picking up the torch to do this. I’m writing my submission now :-) Nancy Blackman
Diana has made such an important space for us to share our vulnerabilities that it will be sorely missed by many BUT Diana needs the rest. I’m so glad and thankful you’re taking on the helm at Coffee Times — way to support your fellow writers! ❤ Preeti Ramachandran
