Keeping the Natural in Nature is how Nature is Preserved.

Nature can be as mean as it is green. It needs to be cared for not just seen.

Looking out the window we can see the world around us. Depending on our location we can see the man made world we live in or we can see the mean and green of all that's natural.

Nature may not always be green. Sometimes it’s blue, or shiny silver from the dew.

Often it’s brown, especially downtown.

It’s not always mean. Though, it can be when it’s not kept clean, or given space for the growth of the new.

Nature can become ill from toxins of plastic and raped ground that's gone barren. That includes all of nature, including my friend the great big Blue Heron.

I reside in a valley full of wilderness and all the things that are natural. Living among the trees and the bees with horse and buggy on our roads, you could call my dwelling rural.

I enjoy living with the rare and endangered species. They find safety here in our valley. The plants and animals might maybe know protecting them is right up my alley.

Reading along as we go, you may be surprised to know…

Hunting happens in our wooded hill. I know certain folks believe nature is not meant for the kill. However, I know that far too many whitetails living here will make them hungry and ill. Plus when we eat natural food, we can avoid needing a pill.

The plants that many may not have seen, or are easily able to find; grow freely here with human needs in mind. This is where I see nature as kind. The plants are healthy medicine. We use them too as food. It is a blessed truth, the nature here cares for my entire brood.

You may again be shocked to learn from this nature nut. The trees here at ShineOn Valley do get cut.

They endure more than one slice. They are chopped into firewood. They keep my family warm, and to me, that is extra super nice.

The cutting keeps our forest healthy with room to grow babies enough to suffice. You know there may be many more seasons full of super cold ice.

We enjoy our natural fields of flowers. I’ve been known to be in them picking for hours. The dead heads do get a toss. It is no major loss. It keeps them healthy like teeth and dentile floss.

The garden is large. Nature planted it all alone by itself. Maybe there really is a tiny small elf?

I do not add my own personal favorites for the shelf…

To plant what is not natural here is what I call a big forceful barge. These plants grow where they want to. Our globe is really large.

I learned the hard way as some may say…

We tried growing bunnies. They don’t like the heavy mist. We tried the famous tomato. The hot dry sun is what they missed.

We care for the Boneset instead. We do not need to dig up a whole big bed. We preserve space for the milkweed to grow. It’s a blast when the butterflies give us a facial kiss, You know?

The grasshopper likes it this way. He too is my friend.

The natural life around us left uncared for will be mean and could get sick without end. When the suggestion comes… “You should plant some blah blah blah” I realize the suggestion came from an unaware soul who needs to make nature their friend.

Yes, nature is nice and it too can be mean. It is visible when we see the hurricane, the tornado, and the below zero scene. It is also a sight to see when nature is consumed and all the wounded, inflamed, toxin filled cells are made clean.

Go ahead and clean the forest with your sharpest saw. The unaware can breathe deep in awe. Breathe in the fresh air. Do it like you care. That baby tree looking for space to grow will be thankful that you dare.

The garden may need weeding but it actually requires no seeding. Give life room to grow. Keep it clean and out of that row. Life knows what to do with itself. Caring for it rightly is what we humans need to know.

In case you plant what you wish. Please first ask the fish if they will be happy together served in your dish.

And-

Remember, it is also imperative that we plant nothing that is “hybrid-ish”. Nature might get mean after it has seen that human made plant hogging up all of its fresh air with flair, causing the natural plant to look inferior and kiddish.

Have you ever questioned why we have a lawn? Do we know who started this toiling we do? I myself cut out a short space to keep away the bugs. It is a real truth- some of them are blood sucking thugs!

Jeff Hayward sheds light on that often unthought of issue…

That field of flowers where I spend tons of hours… There are natural creatures living in there too and they are not all bumble bees and grasshoppers!

Larry Slawson gives us a nice list for reference in case you too find yourself wandering through the tall grass…

Thanks to the Recipricol for giving this Nature Prompt concerning how we preserve and protect nature…
