Keep The End Goal In Mind
Forward Thinking > Current Thinking
When you feel you’ve strayed from the train track you intend to stay on, think forward to your end goal.
- What is your end goal?
- Where do you want to be in 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, or 10 years?
It’s easy not to work on our goals day after day because we forget what we’re working towards. We stop ourselves from thinking long-term in exchange for short-term pleasure (e.g., watching tv, going to sleep, hanging out, surfing the web or social).
Remember that choosing long-term benefits over short-term pleasures is the epitome of self-discipline.
