Karen’s Weekly Review of Technology Hits
The stars of Technology Hits
This week, I’d like to share stories with you from the writers that turn up almost every day to write something. They have my respect and admiration. I would love to be like them one day soon.
If you want to do well with your writing, you will definitely benefit from reading the work of the stars of Technology Hits. They also happen to write for ILLUMINATION and ILLUMINATION-Curated amongst other publications.
For the past year, I have jotted down ideas in my desk diary or a notepad when inspired or something pops into my head. If the thought is compelling enough, I will write it longhand or go straight to the nearest computer to catch all those words before they just as easily fly away.
Tree Langdon is such a prolific writer for so many publications. I will probably never catch up with her. She is one of the key writers and poster of stories for Technology Hits and I cannot praise her subject choices and the knowledge she shares with us all highly enough. I’m also lucky to call her a friend. I learn from her all the time, I’m certain you will too.
I’m pretty frugal, and it seemed a lot of money to spend when I already had a top of the line built-in vacuum that had worked well for years. A robot vacuum wasn’t on my radar.
Speaking of something that sucks, Desiree Driesenaar, our resident environmentalist, unleashing magic in herself and collaborators is questioning whether or not technology sucks! As always, a fascinating read. There are many great projects happening in the world designed to be good for the planet and us.
No sugar coating from me. A lot of technology sucks! Or, let me put it more clearly. It’s not the fault of technology. It’s the fault of the business models behind the technology. They suck. Resulting in Social Dilemma. Resulting in addiction to chemical pills. Resulting in horrible fields full of solar panels and windmills, where we should be growing healthy food for all.
Terry Mansfield is a legendary writer known for his output and diverse topics! He does tend to prefer short pieces and poetry or perhaps those are the only types I’ve read until today. He’s written a sci-fi piece for Technology Hits that is the longest I've read from him! A thoroughly enjoyable story.
My trial in the Highest Court of Galdolz was short. Everyone knew I would be found guilty because of the nature of my offense. The only remaining question was how severe my punishment would be.
Our editor and writer supreme is Dew Langrial, as well as pulling together her Top Ten Series she does find time to write her own masterpieces. Dew also provides vast numbers of tips for writers who desire to do well. Personally, I believe books and the written word are here to stay.
Videos grab attention quickly and keep people engaged.
Almost everybody from Gen Z can record, edit, and publish to YouTube. Their channels are monetized and most of them like to learn by watching a video instead of finding some book or an article.
This review wouldn’t be complete without an article from our found, Dr Mehmet Yildiz. He is a technologist supreme. Much of what he writes is beyond my ability to comprehend. However, he does also make it simple for those of us who sometimes struggle with the complexity of technology.
This piece about the Internet of Things, I must agree, has demystified me about what it is. The Dr also cleverly links to another platform where he, Tree, I and many others are contracted to write compelling articles for Americans to consume. I’m always happy to follow their lead where marketing is concerned.
As a technologist with four decades of experience, I feel obliged to simplify Internet of Things (IoT) and make it known to more people. IoT is critical in our lives and will be more and more important in the future. IoT is fundamental building blocks of artificial intelligence. Some of us are already using IoT devices at home and at work.
The weekly review will return to the up and coming superstar writers. I hope you enjoyed these pieces from the established wranglers of words, time, and scintillating subject choices.
Is there a technology-related story inside you begging to be shared with a ready and willing audience? Why not come on over and join us?
