Summary

Kanye West has posted a poem titled "DEAD" on Instagram, reflecting on his public persona and personal life amidst a tumultuous period involving his divorce from Kim Kardashian and the subsequent relationship between Kardashian and Pete Davidson.

Abstract

The article discusses a recent Instagram post by Kanye West, where he shares a poem called "DEAD," which appears to be a metaphorical exploration of his feelings about being misunderstood, isolated, and treated as if he were no longer relevant or alive in the public eye. This post comes against the backdrop of leaked text messages between West and Pete Davidson, Kim Kardashian's new partner, adding to the complex narrative surrounding West's personal life. The poem reflects on themes of mortality, the nature of fame, and the impact of public scrutiny. Despite the drama, the article emphasizes that West is indeed alive and the poem is an artistic expression rather than a literal statement. The piece also touches on the broader implications of celebrity life, suggesting that while empathy is due, the public should not overly concern themselves with the personal issues of celebrities, which are often amplified by media and social media.

Opinions

  • The author asserts that Kanye West's Instagram poem "DEAD" is not to be taken literally but as a piece of art that reflects his current emotional state and the challenges he faces in the public eye.
  • The article implies that the leaked text messages between Kanye West and Pete Davidson are indicative of the invasive nature of celebrity culture and the complex dynamics of high-profile relationships.
  • It is suggested that Kim Kardashian's actions, including her 'work your a*s' comment and the alleged gaslighting, contribute to the public drama and have a broader impact on how women are perceived.
  • The author expresses a view that the personal lives of celebrities, while often sensationalized, are not dissimilar to the problems faced by non-celebrities and should not be overly romanticized or envied.
  • The piece seems to critique the media's role in magnifying celebrity issues, suggesting that the public should maintain a level of detachment from such dramas.

To be clear, Kanye West isn’t dead. I repeat, Ye is alive.

The truth is, a lot is happening around Kanye or Ye as he wants to be called these days.

The leaked text messages between him and Peter Davidson are a classic public display of a celebrity’s life. But, of course, it doesn’t help that in all of it is Kim Kardashian who is gaslighting women with her ‘work your a*s’ comment on her Variety interview.

DEAD

I feel already compromised that I have to justify my expression after over 20 years of art that I’ve contributed to the planet but I also see the need to make sure we as a species are allowed to still feel anything Men not allowed to cry celebrities not allowed to cry I will not explain this new piece for the explanation destroys the mystery and magic of true love and puts it in a box that can be counted Art is subjective Art only works when it is the artist absolute truth Someone’s truth can be another persons lie We don’t all have to feel the same because we are not the same With out further ado I present to you my latest creation it is called DEAD

Kanye West

Part I of DEAD

No one wanted to tell me I was DEAD And only people that would talk to me were in my head No one wanted to tell me I was DEAD Only people who loved me would visit in their dreams instead They would come to my grave and sprinkle some bread So on my tombstone the birds would be fed I would give new requests but nothing was said Cause no one wanted to tell me That I was DEAD They ran through my account like the sign said free bread But no one wanted to tell me I was DEAD My kids would dance for me in a home I once led But kids see ghosts and didn’t know I was DEAD Every thing was wrong in the press that I read

“I’m In Bed With Your Wife” — Pete Davidson

You can read all the leaked text messages exchanged between Ye and Pete.

Kanye — Where are you right now?”

Pete — In Bed With Your Wife.

Anything between two grown-up men is fair play, and besides, Davidson was in fact in Kim’s bed as he was texting, so we can give Pete points for ‘honesty.’

Part II — DEAD

Cause no one wanted to tell me That I was DEAD I realized when people spoke to me was only when they pread Cause nobody would just tel me Bro you been DEAD Won’t anyone listen to one word I said Of course not sir You know how long you been DEAD Funny it’s been a long long time since I bled You think someone who prides being smart as me would have known that he’s DEAD So now every idea only exists in my head I guess that’s how people treat people who are DEAD I found out one day at the newsstand in pergartory there was a front page article of my murderers story I was so surprised at what it said This info is for the living And surprise … You’re DEAD

If you ask who Pete Davidson is, you have to watch this video, and he is pretty funny.

By the way, Ye also wrote DIVORCE, a poem.

Last few words, the lives of celebrities are not for the weak, nor to be envied. On the contrary, their problems are the same as ours like, ‘bad marriage’ the big difference is that it is amplified not only on social media but also across the news.

While we can always empathize with celebrities, most of us shouldn’t care about parts of their lives.

To be blunt about the whole Kanye West-Kim Kardashian- Pete Davidson drama, they have to learn how to deal with their shit.
