Just do this: Let Results Speak Louder Than Words
‘You will lose very hard’
“To remain silent amid doubt, letting achievements echo louder than any uttered words.”
There are moments in life where the sounds and words uttered by your accomplishments speak volumes, surpassing anything you could articulate verbally. This is one of those moments, and I feel compelled to express it.
Just now, I concluded a rather intriguing League of Legends match. Well, something that occurred during it was intriguin to say the least.
Our team was losing, and losing significantly. It was one of those matches where most people in the chasuggested surrendering at the 15-minute mark, a unanimous agreement to end the game early if everyone on the team consented.
As always, when the surrender window appeared with ‘yes’ or ‘no,’ I clicked ‘no.’
But until that point, the opposing team, particularly cocky, bombarded us with arrogance and taunts. ‘ff guys’, ‘don’t waste time’, ‘go next’, ‘wow guys, you are soo good’. And many more remarks of that nature.
Throughout the entire match, I only typed one thing in the chat: ‘you will lose very hard.’
Of course, this was followed by mockery after I said that: ‘where is that losing hard you were talking about. or were you talking about you? hahaha.’
But I remained silent.
I focused on the game.
I stopped making mistakes.
And we won.
Their team lost the game very badly. They didn’t anticipate such a turnaround. Every member of our team started playing remarkably well. And we won.
And that’s all about the match.
But my articles aren’t just about my gaming experiences. That would be mundane and probably wouldn’t attract many followers. Nor would it entice many.
Throughout life, and in pursuit of our endeavors, we always have ‘companions’ whose words never cease:
“Give up!” “Stop!” “You won’t succeed!” “Where are the results you spoke about?” “It’s not for you.”
You know them, don’t you? You’ve heard them countless times. Especially from ‘opponents,’ but even from your own family, friends, or even your inner self.
What do you do then? What’s to be done?
You give up and give them satisfaction.
Then, most certainly, you’ll likely do the same with your future projects.
Or,
- Stay silent!
- Take action!
- Show them the results!
And you don’t become cocky thereafter. Because in these situations, the sounds and words spoken by your accomplishments say more than you could ever articulate in words.
