Just Another Little Flower

In fact, the (furry) fairest of them all …

PupperJack found himself surrounded by flowers this week. Obviously, he outshone them all.

Photos by Susan Alison

Last week was Thanksgiving, which also fell on my birthday. (Or my birthday fell on Thanksgiving.) At this time of year some delightful people like to give me flowers, which I’m always extremely chuffed about.

See header photo, too, for more flowers and to confirm my belief (and his) that PupperJack is the fairest little flower of them all.

It has got very, very cold here and I couldn’t get the stove pilot light lit at the weekend (above left) so we had to wait until today to get someone in. Did I mention how cold it is? This stove, even with only the pilot light on, prevents the whole house freezing.

Above right- PupperJack is very pleased his fire is fixed. It’s his fire. He’s laid claim to it.

Just like he’s laid claim to my executive chair. And to my bed. And to my heated over-blanket. And to my big coat. And to … well, you get the idea.

It’s only right, he says.

For some inexplicable reason, I was also given this cushion. Well!

I feel quite sulky about this cushion.

Talk about maligned!

(I can’t think what made her think I tolerate people at all!)

Also this last week — on 26th — it was ‘National Cake Day’.

Cakes! (On some of my blue and white crockery.)

The 26th was also ‘Day of Listening’.

Ideal, really — doggos can eat cake, and talk, and listen all at the same time.

So can I!

Gosh — I seem to have got through my picture allowance (ten) already!

Wishing you fab (and safe) times this week!

Dennett started the Photo-a-Day Challenge to help combat the pandemic blues. She takes photos during the week, chooses the best ones, and adds some narrative.
