Greetings poets,

Hope you all are doing great. We are already reached the 7th month of the year. Time flies. There are only 5 months left to the year-end. So, let’s spark some creativity.

Human beings are complicated creatures and our life is one of the most complex things on this planet. Life is indeed a beautiful journey. On the other side, there are so many things in life that we are struggling to deal with.

We, humans, tend to compare ourselves with each other which brings insecurities in life. Insecurities kill the beauty of life.

The simple definition of insecurity is a feeling of lacking confidence and not being sure of your abilities or of whether people like you.

For example, when you see someone more rich and good-looking than you, you feel insecure about yourself. When you see someone more perfect than you, you feel less confident.

“I think we are all insecure, and there is nothing wrong in accepting that. But the problem arises when we try to counter this insecurity by cultivating this illusion of control, and we start taking ourselves and everything we know too seriously.”

-Sushant Singh Rajput

We all feel insecurities in our life. We all have doubts, no one is perfect. However, when anything happens in more quantity it leads to so many problems in life.

Too much insecurity can lead to some serious mental problems. It affects your mental health and increases your anxiety and stress levels. Insecurity snatches your confidence away.

“It’s insecurity that is always chasing you and standing in the way of your dreams.”

-Vin Diesel

This week’s theme is “Insecurity”.

To fulfill your dreams, you have to be confident in yourself. There are many causes of insecurities. It can be a traumatic event, patterns of previous experience, social conditioning, or local environments.

There are many types of insecurities we feel in our lives such as relationship insecurity, job insecurity, body image insecurity, social insecurity, and so on.

One of the easiest ways to deal with insecurities in life is to accept your strengths and weaknesses. When you know your weaknesses, you are more comfortable in being who you are. It will help you to increase your confidence.

How To Stop Being Insecure

Find your value

We all are unique, God created all of us in different ways. We all have some flaws and strengths. Therefore, explore yourself and find your value. Remember, your strengths have the power to change the world.

Change your mindset

Mindset is something that has the power to change your thoughts. Believe that everything happens for a good cause. When you change your mindset, you can overcome the hardest difficulty of life easily.

Confront your emotions

Sometimes, when we find it hard to deal with our emotions we generally avoid them. Never do that. Do not suppress your emotions as it will affect your mental health in a long run. Confront your emotions and try to deal with them.

Show some self-love

When we are feeling insecure about something, we generally become harsh on ourselves which makes it harder to handle the situation. Therefore, when you feel insecure about something show some self-love. Try new things that make you happy and build your confidence.

Surround yourself with motivating people

Our thoughts and actions do depend a lot on the type of people we hang out with. Do not surround yourself with negative and insecure people. Surround yourself with people who understand you and help you to uplift yourself in difficult times.

“I have my moments of insecurity and figuring out what’s going on and what I’m supposed to do, but if you don’t push yourself, you’re not growing, so where do you go?”

-Selena Gomez

You can’t stop yourself from being insecure in one day. It takes time so take it easy and don’t forget to love yourself. Remember, that everyone has moments of self-doubts, but never lose your self-worth in those moments. Always have faith in your abilities. You are born to do some great things in life. Just be confident and take a stand for yourself.
