POETRY/AGING
We Will All Grow Old
Like flowers, we grow and bloom
Our beauty and grace bless all those around us
We bring joy to many
Even when we start to fade, we maintain our color and vibrancy
Just a little less spectacular
Then, our stems grow weak, and our color fades
After our fragrance has brought peace to many hearts, we begin to wilt
At last, we return to the earth from whence we came and nourish the next blooms to come forth
We have a purpose in life and a purpose in death.

Tagging a FEW who have inspired and encouraged me in poetry: Sahil Patel, Denise Larkin, Lucy Socha, Maessy Chan, Lea, Graham Cooke, Kathy K, Jenny Lane, Dr Michael Heng, Joe Luca, Carmellita, Robert Ralph, Grace Bianco. There’s been a ton of inspiration on Medium to write poetry, so if I missed your name, please forgive me. I’ve been here a year and have not read a bad poem yet. You know who you are.
