July vs August 2023 Medium Earnings
The Medium Partner Program (MPP) change has truly made a difference. I believe we are all earning more in August vs July.
Thank you Medium gods for being more generous and paying us more for read time and engagement. I felt euphoric when I saw the huge difference.
I’m about 1/3 into August. I’ve earned $216.02 compared to $119.11 for the whole of July and $25.71 for the whole of June and $3.53 for the last 10 days of May.
Using Math skills now.
My worst subject, but my dad would be so proud.

- 1/3 May : $3.53
- 1/3 June: $8.57
- 1/3 July: $39.70 (1 boost)
- 1/3 August : $216.02 (MPP changes)
That’s a huge jump. About 5 times more. As my friend Adrian CDTPPW says we gotta milk it while it lasts.
We are both cautiously optimistic and guarding our hearts in case Medium decides it can’t continue paying these rates. I hope otherwise though.
All we want is to at least get minimum wage for working all day.
Now that everyone’s working from home the only difference is that we love what we do and we don’t have mean colleagues. Only nice ones.

Earnings Summary
Wanted to also share with you what each individual article earned. I think sharing data is useful so we can all understand what works.
Most of my earnings are from my trauma which feels so wrong. But I shouldn’t think that way. I should be happy, as I’ve always wanted to be a paid writer. And that article was randomly selected.
Well actually I already was a writer (but didn’t dare call myself one) and I used to be paid $15 for a short blog post. Perhaps more as this wasn’t taxed 30% like Medium earnings.

Realistically, without a boost, I can hope to earn about $125 a month based on 5 times of my June earnings. I’m assuming the August rates continue in September. So yes being boosted is really going to mean something.
