Mr. Nash rose from pop crooner to reggae star to the creator and performer of the million-selling anthem “I Can See Clearly Now” in his early 30's it topped the charts in 1972 he lived three show business lives as a teenager, 1950’s, “Darn That Dream” with his light tenor, likened to Johnny Mathis ten years later, co-ran a record company helped launched the career of Bob Marley the first artist to bring reggae to the U.S. career peaked commercially in 1960–1970 with “Hold Me Tight”, “You Got Soul” and “Let’s Move and Groove Together” and his signature song, “I Can See Clearly Now” written while recovering from cataract surgery followed by “Tears on my pillow”, “Celebrate Life” and his last album, “Here Again” was raised in Houston, Texas with a love for horses managed rodeo shows, Johnny Nash indoor arena grew up singing in church, at 13 landed his own tv show with a large following from appearance on “The Arthur Godfrey Show”, and connection with Doris Days’ “A Very Special Love” and “The Ten Commandments, a collaboration with Paula Anka & George Hamilton IV third career, actor of “Take a Giant Step” and “Key Witness” body of work crossed all entertainment boundaries from singer to actor to producer, he did it all and now he rests in peace, for he did what he had to do.
