Road To Happiness Is Through Small Changes

In recent years, scientists who have frequently focused on happiness, the joy of life and being positive have come up with suggestions that will make life beautiful. Here, I’m going to share those suggestions…

1. BE HELPFUL

According to research published in Psychological Bulletin; Spending money on other people rather than yourself will make you feel better. According to research that reveals that the happiest people are the biggest givers; You can find happiness by donating and giving money to others.

2. BE THANKFUL

Professor Martin Seligman of the University of Pennsylvania; proved that people who think about three good things that make them happy every night are happier than others. The things that make you happy don’t have to be important either; Even your spouse remembering to buy your favourite dessert is enough to be thankful.

3. TRY SOMETHING NEW

People who participate in adventures, have new experiences and change their routines are happier. Trying new things also stimulates brain waves.

4. SET GOALS

Psychologist Jonathan Freedman claims that people who set themselves short- or long-term goals are happier than those who don’t. “Working towards a goal activates positive emotions,” says Richard Davidson of the University of Wisconsin.

5. BE OBJECTIVE

The author of the book ‘Ultimate Happiness Prescription’, Dr Deepak Chopra; says that in order to be happy and enlightened, one must be impartial.

“If you stop defending your own point of view, you’ll save 99 percent of your energy and you’ll be much happier,” Chopra says.

6. HAVE FAITH

According to new studies; People with faith are much more satisfied and happier with their lives than those without.

Assoc. As a result of Bruce Headey’s 25 years of research at the University of Melbourne; It turned out that people of faith avoid career anxiety and are more emotionally stable.

7. SLEEP AT LEAST SIX HOURS

A study done in England; revealed that getting at least 6 hours and 15 minutes of uninterrupted sleep a day makes people happy.

8. MAKE 10 GOOD FRIENDS

A study by the University of Nottingham; found that adults who said they had at least 10 good friends were happier than those who had five or fewer close friends.

According to the study; To feel happier, we need to expand our circle of friends.

9. SMILE FREQUENTLY

Smiling and pretending to be happy makes you feel better when you’re really sad. According to many studies; Even just the act of smiling makes people feel happier.

10. ROMANCE IS IMPORTANT

Relationships have a huge impact on happiness. According to the research of scientists at Cornell University; people in a relationship; are happier than those who are not.

11. SIT CLOSE TO WORK

In the research conducted in England; It is claimed that people who live close to their workplace are happier than others. The length of the road travelled each day; directly affects health and fitness.
