It’s Time to Make Up a Story With Those Made Up Words
Calling all snigletologists, factitious neologism creators and maladoptists, among others
skatterboinked and retrogarf
Plus several more.
The challenge went out for a group of us to be modern-day Lewis Carrolls and the neologisms rolled in, like looplab. You know, like looplab is wont to do.
Now that the words are assembled, it’s time to write.
With credit where credit is due, comes new words and “definitions.” All you have to do is create a story using them.
Jennifer McDougall gravicheesedeath — common among Canadians who devour too much poutine
Kristen Haveman skatterboinked — the feeling you get after being spun around too many times
Kim McKinney vowdefire — Someone who makes a lot of promises, but they always seem to go up in smoke
MJ Adia retrogarf — this is when someone makes a song remix, and it’s soooo freeakinnn terrible!
M. Smith malmashduop — A person who you believe to have the soul of Mahatma Gandhi, but who’s torso turns out to be covered in prison gang tats
Lindy Ralph abilene — descriptive of the pleasing coolness on the reserve side of the pillow
TC Hails adenprecate — belligerent babble, to offer unsolicited advice, verbal vomit
Skye Mo'ipulelehua Kahoali'i crimmorocate — to pursue relentlessly with hysterical or fanatical fervor
Michael Burg, MD (AKA Medium Michael Burg) Shridloo — decrepit, wrecked, tumbled down, ruined
