This Is How I Medium Partner Program Worked for Me

You know what, it’s not about the money

I was not aware of the fact that Medium can become a passive source of income if you invest a quality amount of time in it.

This past year and a half I have considered myself a learner, a student who is working on improving his writing skills day by day, step by step.

I tried several genres which include tech, programming, news, self-help, productivity. Many of my articles gained a lot of views but managed to earn only a few cents.

But I kept going because I am a learner. After publishing over 60 articles, I’ve learned which niches work, which don’t, what type of content tends to earn money, and how stats work.

I feel so much grateful to be able to achieve these much. But am I happy with it? No, not really.

Most of my content is related to programming articles. These types of articles have generated many views for me, but they are useless in terms of monetary value.

Let me tell you why? Because no one reads it thoroughly, that is why list articles mostly fail on this platform.

As you can see the difference is below.

The second one is more valuable than the above one, we can see it by the views also my article ranks on the first page of google still it fails to earn.

That is why I am changing the way of writing my articles from now onwards. As a matter of fact, I already tried my new strategy already, and it is working very well.

It Took Me a Year to Earn $50 and Over 10,000 Views/Month.

I am not showing off my earnings, as I know there are many great writers here who earn very low, but I am showing this to make my point clear and transparent.

Future Target

I am challenging myself that by the end of this year, I’ll be trying my best to earn over $1000/month.

I have already completed my goal of $50 a month now it’s time to make some money. You’ll all be witnessing my journey through my articles, as I’ll be updating every month here with my insights.
