It Must Be Spring
A short poem
As I wrote earlier in Spring is Here. And so am I!:
“The walks inspire me to write poems, I receive so many ideas in my head from nature. I have started several spring poems.”
One of those poems wasn’t added to my spring poem collection here:
I wasn’t done with it yet. So today I walked again through the village where I live. Everywhere the beautiful spring flowers are blooming. As I wrote in one of my privacy short stories some days ago:
The sun shines through the window. Reminds me that I should get up. Get out and take a walk. My head is full and empty at the same time.
The walk helped. The ideas for the rest of my poem immediately came to mind. I continued walking for another half hour to gather additional impressions. Here is the result:
🌺 It must be spring 🌺
The birds are singing The sun is shining The flowers are blooming It must be spring
The trees are getting green The days are getting longer The weather is getting warmer It must be spring
All around the world People are waking up They’re putting on their smile It’s a brand new day
And everything is new The sky is blue The grass is green It’s time to start again
Life is just beginning The world is full of hope So let’s all celebrate The coming of spring
