Substack is a writing platform that is one of the best. I am using Substack for collecting emails and then send a weekly newsletter to the community that loves to know about blogging and writing. Following are some of the good things about Substack that could let you try it;

Yes, one of the biggest pro points of Substack is that it is free. There is a lot of email marketing platforms but most of them are not free. Mailchimp, ConvertKit, and Ghost are all the paid platforms that one way or another is providing very similar features.

Getting a custom domain is a new feature on Substack. There were a lot of bloggers who were moving from Substack to Ghost because it was a platform that gives you a custom domain while writing and using the technology. But, now with a custom domain feature on Substack, you could get this feature by first get a domain name on any of your favorite domain hosting providers and then connecting it with Substack where you have to pay a one-time $50 fee as service charges.
If any writer who is brand conscious, Substack is now a platform where you could be a brand.

But with the new custom domain, anyone could rank on Google on any keyword and can build their audience through a completely organic and passive way.
