Is Channeling a Spirit Guide More Than Just Our Imagination?

Doubt is the most common challenge for someone new to channeling.

After my first week channeling, I asked my spirit guides/higher self if all this was real or not. The surprising answer is true for all of us.

This is an excerpt from a recent installment, “Dec 2, 2019", in my book on Wattpad.com. The book’s tentative title is: My Channeling Diaries.

Doubting that channeling is real is a very common issue for people when they first start channeling. For some, those doubts never leave. This is what I was feeling after my first week of channeling. I felt as though I knew everything that was being said. So I specifically asked my guides, “how do I know this is real?”

In fact, I still feel this way, even after channeling for two years. The response from Joshua to my question resonated well with me in 2019 and still does today.

12/2/19 — Monday — Channel #6 with Joshua

ME: I want to connect with a light being who has my highest and best interest in delivering this message. I want to know, I want to find out, whether this channeling is more than just repeating things that I already know? I want to know, how can I know that this is something special, that there is information out there that I do not know that can come through this channeling.

JOSHUA: Good day, Alan. You can consider me Joshua. I am Joshua, but with a slightly different energy, specifically here to try to answer your question of how you can know if we are real or not. I think that is really what you are asking. How can you know if we are just a figment of your imagination, right?

ME: Yes, that is correct. That is what I want to know.

Well, you can never truly know. Because you, like everyone else, is Source, is All-That-Is. And so, when we bring information forward to you in this format, that information is available to you, and at any time.

Actually, you block it most of the time because the way your neurology is structured in this 3rd Dimension, you have limited capacity to know All-That-Is. You have to know it in just a certain way because that is the way it works in the 3rd Dimension — because of the rules that you have agreed to in entering the 3rd Dimension.

But it is all there. There is nothing that we can say that you will not be able to say, “I knew that”. Because you do “know that”. You have known that because we are you, of course. And you are directly a part of All-That-Is. And so, you actually know everything.

It is just that in your dimension it is hard to access that when you are not channeling or tapping into your intuition — talking, listening, or feeling your inner voices.

So, this channeling exercise is going to be very helpful to you. We highly recommend that you continue doing what you are doing every other day. Just sit down for a short period of time and tap into one of your inner voices, one of us.

Because, with time and practice, you will (and I think this will happen with you very soon) be able to tap into us at any time during the day. No matter what you are doing, if you have a question, you are going to learn, you are going to find a way, to access us. Because we are there, we are always there. And we are always available. And we are always willing.

And we always actually do give you guidance. But you will be able to tap into it in an even stronger and clearer fashion, using what in common parlance in your reality people refer to as intuition.

But you know it is more than that. You know that it is your higher, your inner, your greater, your bigger entity who knows, who is more directly involved, in creating the realities you are experiencing.

And because of that, we can give you more guidance. Because we can see the bigger picture, which your individual ego cannot. We can see the different probabilities, different outcomes of different choices, different decisions that you may make at any point in time. And we can give you some guidance as to perhaps, what might be in your better interest, based on the goals of your individual self.

Okay. That’s enough for now. This is Joshua and your group trying to answer your question in one of the best ways we think we can at this point in time.

BONUS: How to Know the Message is from My Spirit Guide and Not from My Ego?

This message was posted on Facebook on Sept 16, 2020, by the channeler, Lincoln Gergar, in response to a question someone had:

When we receive Higher Self intuition, there is a feeling of peace and love that accompanies the communication. Other forms of communication — such as rational thought, instinct, subconscious mind communication, empathic communication, telepathic communication, etc ., all have different energies that accompany the information that we receive. Notice the energy that the communication is delivered in. Notice where you feel it and how it feels. This will help you to understand where the information is coming from.

— Higher Self [Spirit Guide] is felt in the Heart as an energy peace and blissful love. It is always felt as an energy descending into the crown. — Rational thought is felt in the forehead and feels dry, firm, cool. — Instinct is felt in the belly and feels sudden, impulsive, direct, instructional. — Subconscious mind communication radiates in the torso, arising from a chakra related to the message. This energy feels like an interpretation that colored by opinion. It feels like its telling a story. — Empathic mind communication is felt coming from the surroundings into a person’s body/aura. It is informative and feels like someone is telling your something. — Telepathic communication is felt coming from the surroundings into the forehead or sometimes “heard” above the ears on the side of the head. It feels informative as well.
