Is Cereal Soup?

Photo by Deena Englard on Unsplash

When I first heard the question: is cereal soup I thought, of course not.

But the more I thought about it I wasn’t sure. It has liquid, and you eat it out of a bowl with a spoon.

But soup is hot and savory, while cereal is cold and sweet.

But then there’s gazpacho which is a cold soup, and some countries eat sweet soups.

To me, they’re different, because they feel different.

That’s what made me think. How many times do we pass judgment on things or come to conclusions based on how we feel rather than facts or reality?

It’s good to question the things we think we know because we might learn something new.

But on this one, I’m not budging. Cereal isn’t soup.
