Is Anyone Actually Listening? The Universe is Telling You Something

It’s time to start existing in life, not death

“Whatever Your Mind Can Conceive and Believe, It Can Achieve.” Napoleon Hill, Think And Grow Rich

There’s something that we all have in common. Death is not something that we even conceive of happening to us until we do conceive it.

While we are busy, going about our lives and not conceiving of it, for the most part, we are successfully evading death.

But something happens when it enters our field of possibility, and this can change our whole world.

The last two years have brought the concept of death to the forefront of the minds of the masses.

The news blasting out of the television is full of death.

The headlines splattered across the newspapers is full of death.

Each time the message is the same; “It could happen to you!”

But there’s something fundamental that changes when possibilities enter our minds, and it changes deep in our psyche.

However we view the world, that is how we experience it

The world can feel dark, scary, and as if it’s closing in on us during these times of threatened lockdowns, sickness, overcrowded hospitals, and businesses folding.

When it feels that way, that is how we are going to experience it.

But, let’s think for a moment about what Napolean Hill said in his book Think And Grow Rich;

“Whatever Your Mind Can Conceive and Believe, It Can Achieve.”

Perhaps this is a moment to stop listening to the overtones, and start listening…really listening…to the message in the silence beneath.

The silence of the universe.

Stop for a moment. Really stop.

Let the world stand still around you.

Silence the TV, the radio, YouTube, TikTok, Medium, everything…

Close your eyes…

Imagine a beach on a still day. The gentle sun breaks through clouds. The soft sound of the waves breaking.

You lay a blanket on the sand and sit down. You take your shoes off and dig your toes into the soft, warm sand, and then lay back and gaze up at the hazy sky.

You see clouds gently moving sideways, on route for somewhere, but in no great hurry.

Birds swoop and dance, weaving in and out of your vision and slowly, slowly, you feel your eyes closing, your shoulders sinking deeper as you relax. And then you take a big gasp of breath and drink in the clean air, sprinkled with salt.

You let yourself remain in this state of total relaxation for some moments, before opening them and looking around you.

You take out a flask of a warm, delicious, and nourishing drink. You pour some into a cup and sip it slowly, feeling each mouthful slide down your throat and tingling through the rest of your body.

Then you feel sleepy again, and lay back, close your eyes, and there you can stay for as long as you desire to.

Now come back into the room in which you are reading this story.

The beach is no longer in your physical vision, but it’s not gone.

By definition, if your mind can conceive it, it’s there.

You probably know where and, if you wanted to, you could go there.

Perhaps it will take some organising, some time driving, putting fuel in the car, packing a few necessities for the journey.

But you can go. Nothing is stopping you.

You can choose what you experience as easily as this

If you fill your mind with fearful thoughts, then that will dominate the experience that you have.

Fear — that’s a topic that is for exploring in depth another day.

Just know that you don’t need to feel fear.

Just know that you don’t need to be filling your mind with thoughts of death.

It’s going to happen to you one day, that’s for sure.

In the meantime, there’s a whole world of joyful life to be lived.

So go live it!
