Invest in the Stock Market With the Best Free App in 2020

Zero Commission Trading is Taking Over

A s we enter 2020, many stock brokerage companies joined the zero-fee trading movement started by Robinhood in April 2013. Even though Robinhood was first, a newcomer to the zero-fee trading platform claimed the title as the Best Free App in 2020.

Any guesses on the company?

Webull.

This newcomer came onto the scene in 2018.

Now two years later Webull won the award as the Best Free App in 2020.

I have written about Webull in the past and use this platform often reviewing my current investments which is up 20% as of this writing. This is not bad considering the stock market is seeing a lot of red these days. The S&P 500 is down about 15% year to date.

My entry point for these stocks may have something to do with that since I only added these over the past 6 months to this portfolio.

The stocks are Levi’s (LEVI), Lyft, Inc (LYFT), Photronics, Inc. (PLAB), Starbucks (SBUX), Snapchat (SNAP), and Viacom (VIAC).

These are not stock recommendations for you to buy but I am sharing what is in this Webull portfolio.

I have another stock account I use primarily for dividends with a slice of Telsa shares.

These Webull stocks are strictly for my growth portfolio which I feel has some room to grow.

Making the Transition

If you already have a brokerage account, then that’s great.

I am not asking you to change accounts.

If you are satisfied with your trading platform, then keep using the account.

For a while, I used USAA as my broker since I already had an account with them for years.

I spent some time in the Army. USAA seemed like the right fit and was also used by a lot of my military friends. I didn’t have time to compare brokers and I was used to the convenience USAA provided.

But I didn’t like the fees the brokerage fees they charged.

So I started to look around.

Now that I am no longer in the military, I have more time to explore, try out, and use different brokers.

Is Webull for You?

Compared to some brokers that charge a fee, Webull charges $0 fee for trades you make.

This was a 100% better than the $8.95 USAA charged me.

Webull also has an options trading platform that is also $0 commissions while other brokers still charge you a fee.

The ease of identifying stocks and their chart patterns makes Webull a good application for your investing needs.

You may not get a broker to walk you through your trades, but do you need someone to give you advice? So much information is available at your fingertips to do your own research on a possible investment.

I never called USAA to help make a trade since I could easily do this on my own.

Webull offers free stock trading, options trading, and pretty soon cryptocurrency and penny stock trading. Forex trading is the works at Webull and this will be free as well based on the company’s stance and currently free trading options.
