Introducing: James Holley

New to publishing writing, but I know this is my new normal.

About:

I never thought that I would enter the freelance writing game, but I recently discovered that my passion for writing doesn’t only have to be in academic settings.

Just this May, I graduated from Ohio State with a B.A. in Political Science & Philosophy, and my best friend introduced me to Medium. Since then, I haven’t stopped writing, reading, and interacting with others on this platform.

I always loved writing essays in school, and I was sad that I was going to be writing less post-graduation than I had grown accustomed to. Now that sadness has disappeared! So far, I’ve been writing about what I know: assessments of public policy, elections, foreign policy, and matters of philosophical concern. What’s to come is a mystery to me, but I’m excited to remain an active writer and continue to learn from others.

As for my personal life, I live in Columbus, Ohio and I am planning on taking a couple of years to gain experience in the political or legal sectors until I pursue graduate education in Public Administration. Soon, I’ll be moving to my first off-campus apartment in the downtown area, and I’m so excited to be able to create my first real home on my own.
