Interesting Thoughts from Other Writers That Made Me Go Hmmm 🤔 or LOL 😂

My Weekly WTA: What The Ah-ha Moments — Issue 7

I wanted to do shoutouts to authors, and I was going to do it in a newsletter, but everyone is doing one of those, it seems. I recently deleted most of the ones I subscribed to and didn’t even read the ones I think are stellar.

I decided that starting my own was not the best investment of my time. However, I still wanted to put together a piece highlighting things I learned or authors that made me laugh hysterically -in a good way.

It feels like we just started December, but we are only 2 weeks away from Christmas. This first post is for all you shoppers who might need some last-minute gift-giving ideas.

This leads me to my first read to share that makes me go 😂

This story had me laughing from start to finish. I have to admit, I never thought about such unique gifts, but lucky for us all Debdutta Pal did 🎅

This next one will have you going 😂 as well

If you are considering joining friends of Medium or FOM for short, then you won’t want to miss this post by Michael Burg, MD (Satire Sommelier).

It’s a funny look at some of the other possible rollouts Medium might consider for future marketing strategies.

This next piece will probably having you going 🤬 more than 🤔

This one explores online bullying in a place where people should feel safe: a support group.

Unfortunately, that is not always the case, and people feel emboldened to say things that can be hurtful and cruel, as TzeLin Sam poignantly writes about.

This next one will have you doing some of this 😂

Now, I am in no way advocating parenticide, but this has to be one of the most creative pieces on the subject I’ve seen by Lora Straub Brocone.

It made me laugh, and I think it will make you, too.

Finally, my last pick will have you doing a bit of this 🤔

This is for all my fellow Gen Xers, especially those within our female community.

However, it’s beneficial for all of us to understand what different generations go through, so give it a read even if you are a Boomer, Millennial, or Zoomer.

Chances are you all know someone at this stage going through some of the same things Vanessa Brown writes about.

For those of you who are poetry lovers, check out this one by Britt. It will have you going 🤔 and maybe a little 😢💔.

It’s a poem about letting go and moving on. It’s probably pretty safe to say most of us have experienced how difficult that can be sometimes.
