Interesting Observations: Part 6

Sharing some interesting findings

I had ample experience picking guavas from our backyard. But picking apples was a dream. Then I learnt that there are apple farms in rural parts of California and they are open to the public for picking in October. It was affordable at $10 for a bag of chosen apples and munching from the trees. It remains a pleasant memory!

There are hidden gems in California in its Eastern Sierra region. There are snowy mountains, aspen woods, and sparkling lakes. The lake below is scenic and named Convict Lake. Though the landscape is heavenly and often chosen as a wedding venue, the lake got its name from the escaped inmates from a jail who got captured there.

Sipping tea while gazing and inhaling the aroma of a conifer forest is refreshing. As I see this picture, it reminds me of the time spent in the cabin tucked amidst the fir, cedar and hemlock forests in Washington State. Not far from the cabin was the Nisqually River, fed by the namesake glacier atop Mount Rainier.

The smoky smell of bonfire on a local beach. Sun had set, the waves were still lapping the shore, and a group was creating memories around this crackling bonfire.

While traveling along this busy freeway, I would often be mesmerized by this sight. I would fondly call them gold and lave flow, respectively.
