Loving your own self can be hard
Loving yourself, it’s not always a sight so fair,
A process that can be tough, that can make you despair.
It breaks you open, wears you down,
But from the depths, self-love can be found.
In the trenches of darkness, it takes its birth,
Through the struggles and pain, its true worth.
And when the light finally shines through,
Oh, how sweet it feels, when self-love comes into view.
