Ink-night

A Poem

At times the grief swallows me whole Ominous clouds darken my soul But there you are, a shining light Strewn star-like across an ink-night.

Twinkling, shining, a vivid hue A shooting star heading to you Fizzing sparks trailing my flight Strewn star-like across an ink-night.

Orbiting around a pale moon Your love and care can’t come too soon And there you are, a shining light Strewn star-like across an ink-night.
