soft light
a poem
Soft light kissed her face as woke to a new day. Idle hands woke to reach for his body, warm, vital, loving. He filled her dreams, warm embraces, loving looks, as she woke time again to the reality of his form beside her. Hard decisions led her to this warm and loving cocoon. What to keep and what to let go? Never an easy balance for a soul. Shedding parts of herself, she had gained pieces back she had long thought gone. Like a snake shedding its skin, she felt new, bright and full of hope. Her hands caressed his chest as she nestled under his arm, content.
