Now that spring is in full bloom More flowers rise to show their faces They rise up the same time each year And grow more in old and new places

This time of year the weather changes From nice and sunny to humid and dark We get blue skies and then rain clouds All in the span of an hour’s mark

One year we had a tornado come through Our yard was a mess with trees down too My husband is anxious this time of year In case another storm comes near

He says it’s statistically unlikely We pray over our home each day and night We are protected from God Almighty No need to worry or have a fright

Come admire the beautiful springtime here The flowers, soft rains, blue skies around So much to enjoy and be grateful for All hues, noises, scents, and textures abound

The squirrels unearthing nuts they buried While rabbits wait to raid our gardens Full of greens and roots and veggies And mama bird warms her nest of eggies

I love this time of year through the summer The warmth and time spent outside Long days full of fun and laughter Fast asleep in bed from a full day’s ride

Thank you, Lord, for the SPRINGTIME
