Find Happiness In A Raging World
Improve Your Life and the Lives of Others, One Simple Act at a Time
Be the change you want to see in the world

Some people seem to be born with their hearts and other people’s well-being at the forefront of their minds. They only need a couple of hours during the day where they do good stuff for others and not much else.
In contrast, most people have to put effort into becoming better human beings.
A New Way To Live An Awe-Inspiring Life
Most people have to work at it, though. And not just a little bit of work. An astounding amount of work.
Everyday. Something big. Something small. It doesn’t matter what it is as long as it is meaningful and contributes to making the world a better place.
By doing just one meaningful thing every day, you can let your light shine a little brighter and live an awe-inspiring life.
Being nice to others doesn’t take much time and effort at all. And the rewards can be huge.
You don’t have to be a saint, though. It all depends on how you live your life and what kind of person you want to become.
Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has. — Margaret Mead
You can make the world a better place by doing an important but nonviolent act of caring every single day. For example, you can pay for the person behind you at the drive-thru or by doing something else that benefits another human being in some way. (Giving is another way to improve the world. I have heard of stories about the drive-thru where people give the clerk a five-dollar tip and then the clerk pays it forward to somebody else. It’s awesome.)
In most cases, the person you help will never know who did it. But that’s okay because you will be able to live with yourself knowing that you did something meaningful for somebody else.
It helps to remember why you are doing it in the first place. Think about how your life used to be before you started helping others in this way. It doesn’t matter what was wrong with your life because there is always something that could be improved.
Think about what happened to you right before you started helping others. You must have noticed a difference in yourself and the lives of others because you began doing meaningful things every day.
The difference may not be obvious at first, but it becomes more noticeable over time as you continue to help others on a regular basis.
You can do whatever you want, it just matters that you do it every day and make a difference in the lives of others.
For small things, like a simple act of kindness toward others or something more substantial like volunteering at a homeless shelter, it helps to have a plan. Your plan should include what you need to do or accomplish, who will benefit from your plan, and how it will benefit the people you are helping.
If your plan is taking things a little slower, or if you have a lot of things going on in your life, then that’s okay. You don’t have to do something big every day.
A lot of people are doing small everyday things on a regular basis that will make a big difference to other people. You can learn from their actions and apply them to your own life.
One important thing is to focus on something that makes the world a better place.
