Abstract

All my life, I’ve been told I should not get angry, or that my anger is too challenging, and renders me a ‘troublemaker’. The funny thing is, each occasion was always about me talking with passion about some sort of injustice.</p></blockquote><div id="5702" class="link-block"> <a href="https://readmedium.com/let-our-angry-passion-liberate-81429f6e3240"> <div> <div> <h2>Let Our Angry Passion, Liberate! ILLUMINATION Book Chapters Extravaganza 2

Spreading the love for five first chapters from writers with less than 1K followers, plus one standout author with more than 1K.

Welcome dear readers to the second installment of ILLUMINATION Book Chapters Extravaganza! We have schooldays, sci-fi, and anger. Life and Death. Our star read features an enthralling piece of fiction.

My first choice appealed because it had the most reads of all chapters in the publication.

The School at the Top of the Hill by bakagaijin offers two brilliant points, one to encourage readers to return for the next chapter, and the other to inspire writers.

The writer also writes in a way that makes sure you want to come back to discover what happens next!

The second on my list stood out because it was a comfortable 6 minute read. Just the right length to read while I ate my two coconut rings with jam in the middle and rice paper on the bottom Crimble’s, and drank my coffee.

Warren Brown’s opening paragraph rewarded my punt. The rest of the story gripped my attention. You’ll have to read it if you want to find out who dies, who get’s their soul captured in the nick of time, and who’ll benefit from this incredible technology.

Roman Sands is a Soul Hunter. In the future of human civilization, men and women will not lose their souls to the Grim Reaper on Earth.

This first chapter blew me away. The power behind Azadehruh Alam’s words hitting home as precisely as her punches. Her writing is brutally honest, and she does not apologise for it. I commend her for staying true to herself.

All my life, I’ve been told I should not get angry, or that my anger is too challenging, and renders me a ‘troublemaker’. The funny thing is, each occasion was always about me talking with passion about some sort of injustice.

At first, I resisted this debut chapter from Darcy Thiel. I didn’t want to cry. Self help advice and experience, for anyone who experiences something similar, cries out for attention, though.

A four-minute read fit my schedule, so I settled down to read the introduction. Darcy ponders the positives and negatives and share her thoughts with us in her genuine approach to this last journey. One she and her husband made together. You will need a hanky or tissues.

When my husband Tim was diagnosed with cancer, one of the things that we did differently was to start to read together. We would often take turns reading and as his condition worsened, I did most of the reading. Usually, he would fall asleep at some point and I would bookmark where we left off.

We were exposed to some great books. They were instructive and inspiring and helped us tremendously. After his death, I continued to read more. Excellent books on grief abound. I reference some of these books throughout the text.

Congratulations to Carla Woody! She gets the prize for making sure her readers can find every single chapter of her book.

Carla drew me in with her opening paragraph and the ones that followed. She has a beguiling story-telling style, which I found I had to keep reading. Eager to know more, I read Chapter 1. Then I bought the Kindle book so I could continue reading at my leisure.

Thank you, Carla, for your professionalism. You are a shining light to all of us who are striving to be read. I hope many other authors will follow your lead. To grab the readers’ attention and cause them to buy their books.

We have heavy rains in Arizona. They normally start in July and go through August. We call the rains monsoons, which may be hard to imagine for those who have not yet experienced the rhythms of the high desert. Sometimes, though, we have a drought year and the rains start later. The tall pines become over-thirsty, beyond being parched. In those times, all of us develop expectancy — trees, plants, animals and humans alike. We are all in it together after all.
