Illuminate Me
Poetry — About finding the way

The light is gone again Darkness taking over Shadows growing wild I’m left alone My head starts to spin I’m out in the open No cover to hide behind The light has gone
I’m lost again, suffocating Take me in and illuminate me Light me up, please share your light I lost my way again, in this cold, dark night
No one here but me A deafening sound It’s silence speaking My voice drowned out
Light the beacon Please guide my way Bring me out into The light of day
I’m lost again, paralyzed Take my hand and save my life Illuminate me, lighten my load Bring your shine on me and save my soul
You illuminate me You give me hope I cast the shadows away I see your signs above Illuminated, now bright as day Your hope shines through to me I’ll be okay
Illuminated, I’m not alone I see your lights light up I found my way back home
