If You Take 2 Extra Minutes, Your Content Will Look Better
Some of the simplest formatting techniques you need to follow…
On this highly competitive platform, the only way to become popular is to write quality content. Most importantly, you need to publish something every single day. This is going to be tough for those who are lazy or are doing other sorts of jobs. They are the ones who often look for shortcuts to success, but let me tell you that this is a long-term journey in which only the best ones can survive.
During my writing career, I have not seen as many writers publishing hundreds of pieces every day on a single website as this platform has. So, you need to defeat them or at least join their race in order to be able to earn something.
Here are a couple of techniques that can help you go the extra mile.
Don’t Choose An Image From The First Page
Give yourself some minutes to go through the entire library of images. One of the major mistakes writers make is that they choose images randomly or from the first page. They do not even bother to see whether the photo has high-resolution or not.
Remember that Unplash provides a wide range of royalty-free images and that you need to choose the ones that look relevant to your content and are attractive. The con of choosing an image from the first page is that these have had been used so many times. If you want to stand out of the crowd, then please have some time to find appropriate and unique images.
Format The Title Properly
There have been various posts on how to format the title. The fact is that there is no single way to format it. If you want your post to get curated or are looking to submit it to a big publication, then you will have to follow their guidelines.
In my case, I use ‘Caps Lock’ for every word written in the title of the post. This is only because I am not working for any publication and none of my posts have ever been curated.
Use Headings And Subheadings
It is good to use headings and subheadings in the content to make it readable and understandable. I am not saying that the articles that don’t contain any headings or subheadings don’t go well, but sections can make your piece more engaging than ever and the reader will be able to know what you are saying or what types of things have been covered in a story.
It is up to you how many headings and subheadings you mention. I think that this primarily depends on the type of your post and its length. Some people are obsessed with inserting a lot of headings and subheadings, and you can follow their footsteps if you want to leave a good impression on your readers.
Takeaway
All these things will not take so much time. You just need to remember such tricks and it will hardly take more than two minutes to make your content look better than before.
