If You Read A Few Books In 2022, Read These
Books for your personal growth.

I’ve summed up a list of self-help books and life management that are my favorites and I know they will help you to lead a better, profound life.
You don’t have to agree with every book you read but you can note down what you find the most useful to you.
Books are for those who want to go on an adventure and learn valuable lessons through a story.
If you only read a few books this year, read these.
“The Universe Has Your Back” by Gabrielle Bernstein.
If you’re into faith, this book is for you.
Gabrielle Bernstein released this book in 2016 and she became the New York Times best-selling author.
She guides you on how to transform your fear into faith, releasing the blockage inside you, and letting go so you can feel free again. She offers affirmations.
Affirmations are basically your thoughts. Every thought is an affirmation. Wake up in the morning by saying a prayer or affirmation as it helps to strengthen the faith in you.
Every thought you have is an affirmation.
When you change your focus into what you already have, you will realize you are more blessed than you think and your life will feel richer on an emotional level.
A paragraph from the book.
“Instead of focusing on goals and outcomes, redirect your focus onto celebrating what you already have.”
“Rich Dad, Poor Dad” By Robert Kiyosaki.
If you look for a book on finances, this book is for you.
He talks about the importance of investing money to earn more money, as well. That we should mind our own business (literally) instead of minding other people’s business.
He means that you should be your own boss instead of being bossed around by someone else. You should work for yourself, not for others.
We live in a world where A-students work for C-students without being aware of it.
Robert explains the difference between the mindset of a rich dad and the mindset of a poor dad. For example, the poor dad would say “I can’t afford this item.”, and the rich dad asks himself “How can I afford this item?”
Rich dad finds solutions, the poor dad does not.
(I look at money in a different way after reading this book. I know you will look at money differently after reading this best-selling book)
A paragraph from the book.
“In school we learn that mistakes are bad, and we are punished for making them. Yet, if you look at the way humans are designed to learn, we learn by making mistakes. We learn to walk by falling down. If we never fell down, we would never walk.”
“Atomic Habits” by James Clear.
If you’re into building habits, this book is for you.
This book will teach you about forming new healthy habits, breaking old negative habits, and the importance of improving the tiny behavior so you can become a whole person.
You should definitely keep your notes on what habits you want to improve and what habits you want to break.
Every small step you take, you will create remarkable results in just one year, if you stay consistent.
He will show you simple and proven ways to create new habits and destroy the old habits in your life.
It presents you with the most effective strategies to make a change in your habits.
Albert Einstein once said. “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.”
Doing the same habit will give you the same results.
Changing your habits will give you different results.
A paragraph from the book.
“All big things come from small beginnings. The seed of every habit is a single, tiny decision.”
“The Power of Your Subconscious Mind” by Joseph Murphy.
If you’re into manifestation, this book is for you.
Your subconscious mind doesn’t understand humor.
If you joke about how lonely you are, your subconscious mind will receive it as a fact and make it a fact in your outer reality.
Everything you see in your reality is the product of how you assume about the world.
Every negative or positive thought will sink into your subconscious mind and turn into a fact in your reality.
If you feed the seed with evil words, it will grow worse.
If you feed the seed with lovely words, it will grow into a beautiful strong flower. This means your mind is the seed.
Let it bloom or die.
(This is my all-time favorite book. Read it years ago and still read it sometimes a few pages. This is my lifesaver. I’m obsessed with it)
A paragraph from the book.
“The subconscious mind is ruled by suggestion, it accepts all suggestions — it does not argue with you — it fulfills your wishes.”
“The 48 Laws of Power” by Robert Greene.
If you’re into social skills, this book is for you.
To translate the title in an easy way “48 Habits of Powerful People.”
Robert Greene has drawn history of power in the last 3,000 years and placed them into 48 laws in this book.
He discusses topics and teaches you to master your emotions, be mysterious, trust people less, deal with your enemies and so much more.
You will learn human psychology and how to understand people better when you’re more aware of people.
One of the laws is this “Law 32: Never seem to be in hurry.” or you will appear as someone who has weak self-control. Learn to master the art of timing.
Some call it a powerful book.
(This book is written in academic language)
A paragraph from the book.
“A person who cannot control his words shows that he cannot control himself, and is unworthy of respect.”
“The Alchemist” by Paulo Coelho.
If you’re into spiritual fiction, this book is for you.
The main theme of this book is wisdom. It’s about a boy who travels to Egypt from Spain to search for a treasure in the Pyramid. He is a shepherd and adventurer.
In the journey, he learns to follow his heart to see what he seeks. He learns from the people he meets along the journey as they give him wisdom.
You will be reading a fiction story while learning the spiritual wisdom behind it. There is personal growth behind the story.
People like Will Smith and Oprah Winfrey said they love this book.
You will see wisdom being placed here and there through the whole journey to Egypt. This book has said to change people’s lives such as Pharrell and fun fact, I have met him once.
A paragraph from the book.
“There is only one thing that makes a dream impossible to achieve: the fear of failure.”
“You Can Heal Your Life” by Louise L. Hay.
If you’re into self-love, this book is for you.
In this book, Louise L. Hay talks about her journey to self-love after experiencing her abusive childhood growing up.
It became one of her best-selling books with over 50 million copies sold around the world and Oprah has invited her to her talk show a few times.
It’s about putting yourself on the pedestal first, forgiving yourself, making peace with the past, and making your life better.
She guides you on how to love yourself with techniques. You get your power back once you love yourself for who you really are and loving yourself is the first step to the spiritual journey.
With her book, she helped millions of people using her special gift to heal people. I read it ten years ago and it’s still on my bookshelf.
It was the introduction to self-love for me.
A paragraph from the book.
“In blaming another, we give away our power. Understanding enables us to rise above the issue and take control of our future.”
“The Power of Now” by Eckhart Tolle.
If you’re into meditation, this book is for you.
Oprah Winfrey has interviewed him many times to discuss all the books he has released throughout the years.
This book is a great introduction to meditation and living in the moment without thoughts.
The book is great for those who struggle with stress on a daily basis and why it’s important to live in the present than living in the past and in the future.
The past is the old story and the future is the unknown story. Be in the middle, here and now. Be in the balance.
We live in a society where stress has been normalized and we think it’s normal that we think it has no damage to our mental health.
Sometimes we get caught up in our daily lives that we are existing rather than living.
We forget to live life to the fullest and one day it will be too late to change. It’s okay to just sit and observe everything in silence and that’s where you find peace.
A paragraph from the book.
“Stress is caused by being “here” but wanting to be “there,” or being in the present but wanting to be in the future.”
“12 Rules For Life” by Jordan B. Peterson.
If you’re into self-improvement, this book is for you.
Jordan B. Peterson is a clinical psychologist psychology professor at the University of Toronto in Canada and has released two books so far.
Some people call him the internet dad online and you can find him on Youtube as well.
This book is for those who have motivation and advice from the psychologist himself.
In one of my articles, I’ve come up with the advice of organizing your room, if you want to live a better life and I’ve gained this advice from the book.
Some of the rules are about standing with your shoulder straight, cleaning your room, and being friends with those who want the best for you.
They will improve your personal growth and help you lead a better life for yourself. You will be on the right track when you apply much advice from the book.
I’ve gained a lot of good advice from reading this book.
A paragraph from the book.
“You must determine where you are going in your life, because you cannot get there unless you move in that direction. Random wandering will not move you forward. “
“The Greatest Secret” by Rhonda Byrne.
If you’re into the law of attraction, this book is for you.
Most know her first book, “The Secret” but Rhonda Byrne released her new book which is an updated version because she learned more profound lessons in life after releasing her first book.
In this book, she talks about mindfulness, living in abundance, dealing with problems, shifting your mindset, and being true to who you really are.
This new book felt more like a motivational book for me. It’s full of inspirations and we are always looking for inspirations in our life.
A paragraph from the book.
“When we give our attention to a problem, we energize the problem and it gets bigger. When we shift our attention away from the problem, the problem disappears because all the energy has been removed from it.”
(I’m not sponsored by these books and they are recommended by personal experience)
