I wrote a poem in a garden…

I wrote a poem in a garden bathed in diffuse light. The buzzing and clicking of the insects filled the air as birds chimed in with their occasional chirps.

I wrote a poem in a garden that breathed inspiration. The wind was blowing from all directions, bringing with it a breadth of many knowledges.

I wrote a poem in a garden full of fresh air and relief. The entire courtyard processing the atmosphere and cooling the area around me.

I wrote a poem in a garden… It was wonderful.

This poem was inspired by (and written in) one of the gardens in the Academic Podium at the University at Albany. It was a remarkably beautiful place to sit, write, and even just think in. Just a few minutes of quiet in an open, green space can provide much-needed stress relief and a quick refresh for your day. I highly recommend it.
