“Fahri’s Doodles: Better than Noodles” — Part 4
This post is about my journey of creating a doodle magazine. It continues from my last three posts, which you can find here and here and here. I continue creating the Self-making section today. You will find a set of additional creative exercises in this post. I hope you enjoy engaging in these exercises.

Let’s start with our first exercise. Please look at the artwork above.
How many triangles are there in this artwork?
Just kidding. Please do not count triangles:)
Say no to your inner geek who has already started counting!
Seriously — there are zillions of things more exciting to do in your life than counting triangles:)
I do not know why I put this useless question on your mind — I am truly sorry on behalf of the evil and sadistic child (Omen) inside me.
If you absolutely must count something, you can count the circles inside the artwork.
Now, let’s continue creating our doodle magazine.
Remember my slogan?
Fahri’s Doodles — better than noodles.
I know it is horribly cheesy and goofy — hence its appeal.
I have continued creating creative exercises in this section titled “Self-Making”.
Please see them below.
Please complete the exercises below. They might take 15–20 minutes. You can use a sketchbook and a pencil (or a pen) for these exercises.
Are you up and ready for the challenge?

In doing these exercises, it helps to remind ourselves that we need to be actively creating and designing our jobs.
Instead of finding the ideal job, perhaps we need to consider actively designing and creating our job.
Designing your life and career is a very active lifelong project. It is a wicked problem — complex, uncertain, and dynamic.
Think of it as an act of bricolage — you need to continue imagining, crafting, designing, shaping, adapting, adjusting, improvising, and creating.
In that spirit, let’s now continue to the next set of exercises.
Please pick up your sketchbook and pencil. Are you ready?

I hope you enjoyed doing these exercises.
Please remember that you need to directly dive in to make these exercises useful.
Do not hesitate. You need to act on them — do not just read them.
Otherwise, they will not be useful.
Do not procrastinate and please respond to each challenge or question (even briefly ).
Your responses do not need to be perfect or complete — there are no right or wrong answers.
Please keep writing, drawing, or doodling.
We will continue this series in three days.
See you soon:)
