Fahri’s Doodles - Part 3: Asset Creation and Self-Making
This post is about my journey to create a doodle magazine. It continues from my last two posts, which you can find here and here. You will find a lot of creative exercises in this post. Please engage in these exercises — try to create a lot of ideas and write them down (or doodle them).

Before we continue to today’s journey, I would like to pose you a small challenge:
Please look at the Flower of Life in the picture above. It represents the flower of my life.
I have brainstormed and tried to put together nine ways or methods to enrich my life.
Each of the flower petals represent one of these ways, methods, or ideas.
Please draw your own flower of life now.
You can have as many petals as you wish.
You may come up with the elements and projects of your life that are indispensable for you.
What are some of the most important and valuable aspects in your life?
Please draw them as petals.
They will together form up your own flower of life.
Please quickly do the exercise — this should take a few moments.
Are you done already?
Welcome back!
Today, I have worked on the next section of my magazine. It is titled: “Self-Making”.
This section will include a set of reflective and creative exercises aimed at developing ‘exponential’ skills.
I believe exponential skills are required in the massively changing era we are currently living in (you may want to check the first two parts of the story if you want to understand the nature of these changes).
I have designed a set of exercises to help young people navigate today’s and tomorrow’s changing (and challenging) job markets.
Here is the first page:

Here is my next challenge to you:
Please complete the exercises above. They might take half an hour or a bit longer.
These exercises will help you to imagine and visualise vivid possibilities and projects for your future.
They will help you design and create projects that will excite you.
These projects have the potential to add great value to your life and career.
Of course, please see this exercise as the start of a much longer journey of asset creation.
Your long term goal should be to continue creating assets based on your interests, passions, curiosities, and strenghts.
Please remember that this is a life-long marathon. Do not expect any returns over the short term — just get yourself in the habit of creation.
Let’s now continue to the next set of exercises.
Are you ready?

Please use extra sheets as needed.
Please use a pen or a pencil for all these exercises.
Allow your hands to move freely.
Do not judge your ideas while you are generating them.
What matters is the quantity and diversity of your ideas.
Treat these exercises as pure play — this is your playground.
The more ideas you create, the better.
The more details and specificity, the better.
I hope you enjoyed these exercises:)
I have actually created more exercises — I will share the rest of them with you tomorrow.
I am looking forward to our journey together.
Sincere regards;
Fahri
