I Will Cry Your Muffled Scream till the Day I Die

Cause she was a woman you see She takes the weight of what she chooses The day she's born to the day she dies. As we know she is a woman, she loved a man He turned and hit her, so what? She chose her or her family chose it for her She was a woman so she repents.
She walked the streets but She was a woman, a man called her names She heard and walked, just like all around her One day he was more than a man Or less somehow, so he hounded her as She was a woman, just a woman.
She had a family, they loved her Yet she heard them ignore the cries of another woman She knew she could be one day. But she was a woman you know so she cried for the woman who will never smile through her blue scars.
They assured her of her fate She will never have to scream about her ache But then they snacked and spat at that woman they raped for her clothes, her life, her job and time she was out at night. Cause she was a woman, a woman you see.
They build hurdles in her path And called it her fate cause she was a woman. See that woman? She made choices and Chose the wrong man, the wrong street to walk by Wrong job and wrong dress Cause she was a woman you know Just a woman.
