I Was Propositioned By A Naked Man

While my husband sat on the beach

I was walking along the seashore on the Isle of Purbeck with my husband when he stopped and said, “Let’s go back”.

“Why? I’m enjoying it,” I said.

“They’re not wearing any clothes over there!”

I looked across to where he was pointing and indeed, I could just about see that the folks on the beach up ahead appeared to be nude. Well, it wasn’t a particular surprise. I knew part of the beach was a nudist beach. We’d accidentally stumbled across a group of naked people on another occasion. But this time, my husband was more alert to the situation and he didn’t want to continue.

“It doesn’t matter,” I said. “You don’t have to look at them!”

“I don’t know where to look!” he protested.

“Just look at the sea!” I suggested.

“Some of them are in the sea!” he said, waving his hand in the direction of a couple in the sea. “I’ll stay here and wait. You walk on a bit, if you want to.”

So he sat on the beach, while I continued up the shore. I looked at the sea as I walked along the waterside. The people in the water were submerged.

I reached a spot where the waves lapping the shore were beautiful and the clouds in the sky were stunning, so I took a photo of the sea. There were no people in the photo. But I obviously unnerved a couple who were heading into the water, because a few minutes later they shouted over and caught my attention.

“No photos!” they said. I waved to say, “No, of course not — I’m just taking landscapes.”

Anyway, I decided that perhaps it was time to head back if I was making people uncomfortable. So I turned around and walked back along the waterside towards my husband on the beach.

Out of nowhere this naked chap came running towards me. I thought he might be about to take issue with my camera — tell me it was inappropriate and give me a lecture. But he didn’t.

“You’re wearing my favourite colours!” he said, smiling, pointing at my purple tasselled skirt and tie dye orange scarf. “Will you be in Bournemouth tonight?”

“No. We’re staying on the Isle of Purbeck,” I said, a little confused as to why he was asking.

“We?” he said.

“Yes, I’m with my husband — we’re staying at a campsite,” I said, trying to focus on his face and not feel weird about his nakedness. After all, I was the one intruding on the naturist beach with my clothes on.

“Shame,” he said. “I was going to ask if you’d like me to take you out to see the nightlife!”

I smiled and said, “That’s very kind of you, but I’ll have to pass”. It was an obvious statement, but what else do you say! It was surreal.

He went on his way, and I continued my stroll along the beach, to see my husband a short walk away.

“I got propositioned by a naked man!” I said.

“What?” he laughed.

“He just came running up to me and said he’d like to show me the Bournemouth nightlife!”

“Oh well,” he smiled, “at least you know you can still pull”.

That was the strangest offer of a date I’ve ever received. I mean, you don’t usually get to see a man’s body until after you’ve been dating for quite a while!

Although to be honest, he wasn’t completely naked — he had a polo shirt on, but it stopped at his waist, and that was it. Everything else was on full show. Not that I was looking, but you can’t help but notice when that’s running towards you.

🤣😂😁😊
