I Want to Be Rich and Live Poor

Be a selfish money crazed maniac.

Living in seclusion spices me up. In a cabin in the woods…

I don’t like driving. Surprise! You found a guy who isn’t crazy about driving. Hooray to Elon Musk for optimizing self-driving cars!

Just when I thought he couldn’t get any better!

I don’t want a massive house or the best car or the most expensive watch. I don’t like those things. I don’t know why. It is weird.

I don’t know what I would buy having all the money in the world.

LOL. It sounds stupid but it's true.

Don’t get me wrong, I have some audacious money goals, people may call me greedy but it is what it is.

Another money crazed maniac, that's me! Cheers.

Lamborghinis are for the broke

The price tag suggests otherwise….

I know.

A small car is easy to leave by the roadside in a traffic jam.

Sometimes walking is faster than driving. These bad boys come in handy then. You can just leave them and walk away.

Some fortunate souls will do a better job at keeping them.

Many people tell how expensive their watch is or their clothes are.

I am not looking to buy, mate.

What is the point of wearing the most expensive thing when it is damn uncomfortable?

Me, I am satisfied with wearing the same PJ, shirt combo for three days straight.

Yes, that is my current situation. Don’t worry I‘m not broke.

Noise makes me want to scream

Don’t be noisy around me. I’ll scream.

I don’t want to live in the city, where all the happening happens.

This is where I want to live. The quiet. Could it get any better?

There won’t be any wi-fi. That sucks. The question is, does that beat a good night’s sleep though?

I like being quiet. It relaxes me.

A small lifestyle screams rich

Not a mansion to live in. Not a Ferrari. Not the most expensive Rolex.

Think about all the cleaning you will have to do. Man oh, man!

I’ll pass.

I idolise humility. Does not make me humble though.

I still pass judgments on every person who walks in front of me. I can’t control it. The best I can do is not blurt it out.

I don’t do a good job at that either though.

Nelson Mandela is a hero to me. The amount of humility that guy had having accomplished so much. Wow!

Oprah calls him the most humble person she ever met. It shook me.

He didn’t strive to be in the spotlight. Ironically, he ended up becoming one of if not the most influential people in recent history.

Being humble makes you listen.

It gives you more self-awareness.

An aware idiot is better than a self-proclaimed genius.

How do I know? I used to be the second one, now I am the idiot. We need more idiots in the world.

They listen. In the long run, they become smarter.

You are not the Sun

When you tell someone a problem and they tell you what happened to them today, you know they don't care. That’s good.

People don’t revolve around me. I am not the centre of the universe. Heck, I am not even the centre of this room. It is good to know that. Allows you to keep low expectations from people around you and focus on yourself.

I like it that way. It gives me more power.

All I want are soccer balls

Having few wants is not a curse. It is a gift.

I recently realised that.

It gives you more freedom to put your money to better use.

What is the point of being the richest person in the world but not having a gigantic house? Everything!

You are bound by nothing to help others. Plus, you can inspire billions. It is perfect.

You can’t help everyone, but you can start a wave. Others may carry it.

Being rich must be tiring

I don’t know how it feels to be the richest person in the world. But, it must be tiring.

In a good way.

We are giving Mr Musk the benefit of the doubt that his heart is in the right place with everything he is doing. He has a $50,000 house, after all.

You love to see it!

Imagine having the biggest house in the world, the most expensive car, the most expensive watch, the most expensive phone. Does that make you excited or exhilarated?

It doesn’t for me. Maybe it is weird and that is in fact the real dream.

For me, I would want to have a smaller lifestyle. Just seems more efficient.

At the end of the day, I am happy with a bathrobe, PJs and a shirt that is comfortable to wear and has one colour. That is my dream. I am living it. Couldn’t be happier.

I am more selfish than you

You don’t need to connect wires to my brain, I am selfish, even if it seems otherwise.

My strict money goals make me selfish. I am okay with it.

I still want to fulfil my desires. It just works to my benefit that they are less than usual.

The point of helping others is to gain more influence and be remembered in a positive light. That is selfish too.

Selfishness isn’t bad. If you are selfish to your future, you will end up having inspired millions or billions.

Selflessness is being selfish to your future. In hindsight, there is no such thing as being selfless.

Bottoms up to being selfish.
