Everything is quiet until some energetic chump decides to ruin it.

I am experiencing that right now as my fingers fly over the keyboard.

Loud places are not my cup of tea. There is just so much happening. So much to wrap your head around, it becomes overwhelming for me.

Do you get up and join in the madness or just sit back and wait for it to end. Of course, waiting could cause all hell to break loose.

Empires are built in silence, not on the second floor of some nightclub where people are jumping about as if they’ve won the lottery.

But then again, that is where you meet people.

Noise makes me work better

Just give me an excuse to throw on my headphones.

Headphones up and about with the same beat playing just to make sure I can’t hear the craziness going on in front of my eyes.

People closest to me are loud as f*ck.

Headphones give me a reason to concentrate, it’s like a reflex.

When you are alone with your thoughts, then that is where you want to be.

It is like you are in the zone. Anything outside that zone, can’t bother you.

You are in a whole other world.

Silence improves you

I can relax and stop pondering about what a risk all this is.

Every day is risky, but every day is a step in the right direction. At least, that is what I want to think.

When you think about what tends to go on outside the bubble you have made for yourself, you take a sigh of relief.

Gossip is the name of the game

Gossip is evil. It kills silences.

We supposedly spend an average of an hour every day gossiping.

Why?

Because gossip spreads. People like to hear whether or not they are doing better than others.

Small minds discuss other people Average minds discuss events Great minds discuss ideas -Eleanor Roosevelt

What does it take to be great? Roosevelt seems to think it is simply discussing ideas in place of people.

Makes perfect sense. Gossip needs a crowd. Silence doesn’t. Yet, gossip is easier to find.

Isn’t silence relaxing? It’s like it doesn’t stop. It persists when you let it.

Events are past tense. They are things that have happened.

Of course, memories are special, but if you are entirely stuck in them, you can’t go ahead. You trap yourself.

Ideas ask you to look ahead and have the potential to make a difference. They are the actual medium to communicate.

When you throw out an idea, you throw out a piece of yourself. It makes you vulnerable but they could amount to something amazing.

Quiet places keep me in my lane

Your thoughts are your environment.

Now, what do you do? Do you face it or run from it?

A study indicated that almost 80% of people prefer the latter. They would rather electrocute themselves than sit alone with themselves. They get bored.

Silence is humbling. It shows you how much you can’t control. Your mind begins to race when you can’t control it.

It can be overwhelming.

When you spend too much time in quietness, you think about what really matters. What is important to you.

They are a chance to reflect. Every second is a second to improve.

When I come out of it, I am different. I love that.

Live to learn to learn to live

When you take your sweet time in silence, you appreciate the moments without it.

It is just the fact that those moments become rarer. When you are in the moment, it is the most amazing feeling.

You feel grateful for everything around and you try not to take anything for granted. Of course, you still do but not as much as you did before.

When you listen you learn.

I know nothing. When I listen to someone I feel different.

Live to learn to learn to live

Everyone has a story. Every story has a takeaway. When you listen to someone else’s you grow.

They say ignorance is bliss. How can it not be? It is the perfect crime. Living in your own world where what you say is right, nothing else matters.

Ignorance grows from speaking when you should be listening and ignoring when you should be learning.

We’re all guilty. Making mistakes is the game.

Make mistakes, learn from them. Then make more mistakes.

If you don’t make mistakes you’re just not trying.

Being quiet toughens you

Silence makes you think of rational ways to solve problems that would otherwise overwhelm you.

When you have no other choice but to sort out your mess, silence is the way to go.

You can’t complain in silence because no one is listening.

I found this out the hard way. In the worst moments when there is no one to cry out to, you have to help yourself. Might as well help yourself.

When you are quiet you bet on yourself. You must, otherwise, there is that endless pit of anxiety waiting for you.

Through this, you become tougher. Tough as a nail.

Embrace the quietness, embrace yourself.

Calm yourself in dangerous and massive situations. Push for the gold, the real gold — silence.

When you are trapped with someone for a long time, you have to talk to them. I trapped myself with myself, I talked to myself. I uncovered so much.

You can too. Find your passions, learn why you think what you think.

I accepted everything around me, this is why. When you accept everything around you, you learn to live with it. When you learn to live with it, you learn to make the best of what you can.

In the maddest of noises, when the headphones come on, it is game time. Your world, your situation, you control it. Make the best out of it, make it count!
