Summarize

It's an outrageous title for an inspiring story. I hope

I Used to Be Broke and Miserable. Life Changed When I Won The Golden Ticket to The Land of Fjords

Life rewards those who chase relentlessly

It translates to “Why Am I here?”. You’re here for props dude. Don’t spoil the story. Image from Freepik.

Have you ever experienced ecstasy from a moment that you knew it would change your life forever?

I was that fortunate.

Back then, I was in one of the most fulfilling jobs I ever had. Yet, what I earned wasn’t enough to cover my expenses. Debt started to pile up with nonsense purchases, car maintenance, and gas.

Yes, I was using a credit card to pay for fuel. But that wasn’t the lowest point.

My girlfriend at that time saw no future in me and decided to leave me. Talking about having your balls on a grinder.

I hit rock bottom.

I was dead broke, filled with debt, and spiraling into a hopeless future. I needed a glimmering light of hope.

Always had a feeling that the Lady in the Lake would come for me.

Before you labeled me a narcissistic prick or a messiah, all I wanted was a life with no money worries. And freedom to do whatever I wished for.

I knew that I hit rock bottom when I saw my credit card debt growing. And the oldest bachelor in history's title chances increasing.

Most important of all, it wasn’t the place that I ever dreamt of being.

I didn’t wait for some watery tart to throw a sword at me. I took action.

I knew that I had to leave that filth, I needed to step out of my comfort zone. I started to apply for jobs abroad.

It was my ticket for a better life.

After endless searches, almost giving up hope, I bumped into a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

My watering eyes couldn’t believe it. I’ve won the golden ticket!

I screamed, shouted, and jumped like a little kid. I was moving to Norway for a better life.

I get goosebumps every time I’m reliving that day.

It translates ”You lucky bastard!”. Woah! Wash your mouth here dude. And put that razor down. Image from Freepik.

I knew my life was never going to be the same. But I wasn’t prepared for the radical change and growth that is ever-lasting.

That day changed me and my life for good.

I got back with my girlfriend, and now we are happily married. Our lives are way better if it wasn’t for that day. We did things we never dreamed of, we went places we never thought we would.

I learned more about me. I learned that I’m resilient and can get the desired results if I put my mind and heart to it.

I have had my ups and downs since then. In 10 years, I started over 3 times from scratch. Imagine your whole life in a few boxes and your two bags of 20kg luggage with you.

Those changes happened without notice. But my resolve to get things done and search for that better life never stopped.

Life throws me some fiery turds but I managed to stand my ground. With some bruises and second-degree burns but it’s fine.

When things get difficult, I remember those days. And I keep on rollin’.

Never give up on your dreams, no matter how absurd they are, no matter how tough it gets.

Don’t let your condition define who you are.

Go after the things you want, no matter how belittled others think of you. Don’t give up on your dreams no matter how hard it gets.

Did it sound too cliche?!

Grow some balls and get to work. Shit ain’t happening if you don’t move your arse. Did I roughen you up, boy?! Good, now go get them!

If you read this until the end, pat yourself on the back. You’ve got some of the same spark that I have.

Why are you still reading this?! Go and make it happen!
