Sharing is Caring
4 Eye-Opening Lessons From the Most Well-Known Content Creators
From Ali Abdaal, Nicolas Cole, to Noah Kagan

What’s the difference between you and your favorite creator? They have been playing the game longer than you are.
I have been reading books by well-known authors.
Listening to podcasts from the most popular creators.
And I’ve encountered some shocking truths that made me stop in my tracks and think:
If they can do it, why can’t I?
These are the lessons that I took from their experiences:
1. Surround yourself with like-minded people
Look for people with the same goals as you have and build relationships.
There is only so much you can learn from books or courses. And you can hoard all the freebies creators will throw at you.
You will learn more when you engage in conversations with people doing the same thing as you.
I know that I have to improve this, but set up conversations with the relationships you built.
Discuss your different perspectives, and gain different insights.
It’s through those conversations that new ideas will spark. If you’re stuck in a rut, a different opinion will be enough to move the needle.
2. Nobody’s got it all figured out
Don’t be blinded by their astonishing success.
It’s easy to say that those who are living the life and hoarding lots of cash have cracked the code. The truth is they started somewhere, and they weren’t so different from you and me.
In every story, there are setbacks, failed tentatives, terrible work-life balance, and learnings.
If you ever feel like going down the drain that you don’t know what the hell are you doing, don’t worry — we all are in the same boat.
From all the stories I’ve read, even the biggest names are feeling the same way.

3. Explore outside your comfort zone. Ask more
It’s carved into our skin. We’re afraid of rejection.
We often miss opportunities in all our areas of life because we don’t ask.
We want to feel included, whatever that is.
What often seems so simple is often overlooked. But most successful entrepreneurs know this too well.
Ask. Worst case you know the answer. But if the answer is positive, your life could change.
Your golden ticket may be one question away.
Start small. Be comfortable in asking questions to strangers. Go to a coffee shop and ask for a discount on your coffee.
It sounds ridiculous, people are more nicer than you realize. Don’t be afraid of getting rejected. It’s nothing personal.
Remember, they’re not rejecting you. They are saying ‘no’ to your request.
4. Focus on doing one thing at a time:
We often feel overwhelmed with the amount of things we want to do.
With so much information to absorb, and with many things we ought to be doing. It’s easy to get distracted to understand what’s important.
I learned I’m not alone in this one. It’s essential to do one thing at a time. It’s powerful to be able to focus on one action at a time.
Think of climbing the stairs, step by step.
Your mind feels less scattered and you get more focus. Instead of spreading yourself thin in different directions and getting nowhere.
In the end, you will make more progress when you’re aiming in one direction.
The most valuable lessons are from those who have succeeded. It’s from those experiences that we can find our paths or solutions to our problems.
That’s why it’s important to keep sharing these experiences and learnings. We all are trying to make it and we all can use a helping hand from those who already walked a similar path.
