I Used To Be Afraid To Fail, Until I Realized There Is Something Worse

“Boredom: the desire for desires.” —Leo Tolstoy

The only thing worst than having dreams and not reaching them is not having dreams at all.

I spent too much of my life living passively—not thinking or dreaming, just getting by. As time went on and I got older, the feeling of sadness and resentment only grew.

Finally, I decided writing was my goal. Reading and writing are the only things I’ve ever truly loved, why not make a living doing that?

Here I am on the journey I’ve always hoped for. Yet, it’s not going as well as I planned.

But I’d rather try and fail than continue to wallow in confusion and despair.
