I Started Writing 2 Weeks Ago. I’m Mind-Blown With The Results

I can now pay for a Thai dinner for two!

Back in the summer, my wife joined This Platform. She would come and tell me about the stories she was reading, and some of the stories she was writing.

But then, she took a break to start a new job. Once things settled, she took it over again. After writing a handful of stories, she found out she had some readers, and took over a write-every-day challenge.

She’s been writing for 66 days now, non-stop. And she has seen amazing results!

Since I also like writing, she encouraged me to join and see how it went. So I gave it a go…

I joined 2 weeks ago, on January 2. And within a day, my writing made me $1.15. I felt so happy. My first dollar online!

However, as the days went by, my earnings kept growing, and before the week was over, I could pay for my membership already. Whohooo!!!

We couldn’t believe it.

So I kept writing. Maybe not every day like she does. I honestly don’t know how she does it… But some days I even popped a couple of stories!

And what happened?

Well, it’s been two weeks and my writing has made me $49.06. From a total of 17 stories. And I have 159 organic followers.

You know what that means? My stories can now pay for a meal for two at our favorite Thai place. Not only that, my writing will also cover the tip.

So, if you are on the edge of whether to start writing consistently, I’d encourage you to try it.

I write about things I care about, like feminism and activism, and I sometimes report on my journey, like I’m doing right now. But overall, I make sure I keep it fun. What’s the point otherwise?!

Oh, and I try to engage in a meaningful way. There are so many good writers on this Platform!
